Absences

How do I justify an absence?
  • Notify reception by telephone as soon as possible if the absence is expected to last several days.
  • All absences must be justified:
    • or by a note from the parents or guardian, which is submitted to the school principal for approval (maximum two consecutive days and twelve half-days per school year).
    • a medical certificate or a certificate from a public authority.
  • These documents must be returned to the reception desk or the mailbox provided no later than the day after the last day of absence if it does not exceed three days, and no later than the fourth day of absence in all cases.

What are the conditions required for a medical certificate to be valid?
(IMPORTANT)

“A medical certificate establishes the fact of a pupil’s indisposition or illness. For a medical certificate to justify a pupil’s absence, the date on which it is drawn up must coincide with the start of the period of absence to be justified, and it must be submitted within the required timeframe. In addition, the medical certificate must include the following information in order to be validated: the doctor’s first and last name, the patient’s first and last name, the date on which the incapacity began and how long it lasted, the doctor’s signature and stamp, the date of the examination and the doctor’s certification that he/she “received and examined the patient on this day”.
